About The Position

Siouxland Community Health Center has an opening for a full-time RN/Site Manager at their Riverside Clinic. This position requires the successful candidate to manage and lead the day-to-day operational functions of the Riverside site, supervise all clinical (nursing) staff and the SSC site supervisor, and collaborate with other executives, directors, and managers to ensure efficient flow and staffing of clinical areas. The role is also responsible for medical provider scheduling, purchasing for the location, and ensuring compliance with SCHC policies, procedures, and grant requirements. Additionally, the position involves performing Registered Nurse duties such as triaging patient calls, documentation, scheduling appointments, assisting in training new employees, staffing the clinical floor, and serving as the site vaccine coordinator.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Registered Nursing Program
  • Current certifications required: RN licensure, BLS, and Mandatory Reporter.
  • Must have ability to handle confidential information on a need-to-know basis as defined by SCHC.
  • Solid computer and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead day-to-day operational functions of Riverside site.
  • Supervise all clinical (nursing) staff and SSC site supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other executives, directors and managers to facilitate efficient flow and staffing of other clinical areas. (Facilities, Financial Services, Lab, Pharmacy, and Support Services).
  • Responsible for effective medical provider scheduling, working with COO and Medical Directors to ensure that production, on-call, and coverage standards are met or exceeded, and for creating, maintaining, and updating templates for provider schedules and blocking schedules as appropriate.
  • Responsible for purchasing for Riverside location.
  • Ensure that all SCHC policies, procedures, and grant requirements are met.
  • Triage, patient phone calls, documentation, schedule appointments
  • Assist in training of new department employees
  • Assist staffing the clinical floor
  • Serve as the site vaccine coordinator, including maintaining and ensuring the VFC program is in good standing with the State of Iowa.
