About The Position

British Swim School Cudahy is growing fast, and we need a leader ready to grow with it. This is a full-time, leadership-level role with a real seat at the table. You will run the site day to day, lead the staff who work there, and be a true partner in the growth of the business. While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach. We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”

Requirements

• Enrollment growth at Cudahy against agreed targets
• Instructor retention and staff satisfaction on site
• Client retention and satisfaction at the Cudahy site
• Safety record: incident-free operation and consistent adherence to safety protocols
• Site operations running smoothly: on-time opens and closes, well-maintained facility, dependable coverage
• Experience with children or in a child-focused job (helpful but not required if the right attitude is shown)

Responsibilities

• Open and close the site each day: pool prep, equipment setup and teardown, and making sure the space is ready before the first lesson and secured after the last
• Oversee pool and facility maintenance, flagging and following up on any issues with the pool partner or vendors
• Ensure lifeguard and water watcher coverage on every shift, and step into that role personally as needed
• Own safety and security on site: daily safety checks, incident response, and making sure every layer of our safety culture is actually being lived, not just posted on a wall
• Be the go-to person on site for instructors, families, and the pool partner for day-to-day questions and issues
• Build and manage the staff schedule, balancing coverage needs with instructors' lives
• Be the regular point of contact for instructors: texting, check-ins, and making sure they feel supported and cared for, not just scheduled
• Support hiring and recruiting for the Cudahy site, including sourcing candidates and helping run interviews
• Onboard new hires and lead ongoing training, keeping the team sharp and improving
• Set the tone on site: the culture, energy, and standards instructors are expected to bring to every lesson
• Drive enrollment growth at the Cudahy site, working closely with leadership on the strategy to get there
• Support local marketing efforts: community outreach, events, and helping tell the Cudahy story
• Help identify and pursue local partnerships that expand access to lessons
• Bring ideas to the table on what is working, what is not, and where the opportunity is at this site
• Track and report on enrollment and growth trends so leadership always has an accurate read on Cudahy's trajectory
