About The Position

As the site leader, the Operations Manager is accountable for the full performance of the warehouse facility. You will own sort and driver launch operations end-to-end, lead and develop a team of supervisors and hourly associates, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, and cost. You will also contribute to P&L oversight for your market and partner closely with the General Manager to shape operational strategy as Jitsu scales.

Requirements

  • Academic or equivalent experience; 3 years in last-mile delivery, 3PL warehousing, logistics, or last mile transportation.
  • 2 years of experience managing teams of direct and indirect reports in an operations environment.
  • Proven ability to lead through a high-growth, fast-paced environment, you adapt quickly and bring others along with you.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with data; experience with Google Sheets to track KPIs and drive decision and an interest in utilizing AI to optimize workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • A track record of building and developing high-performing hourly teams.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA Forklift Operator certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own daily warehouse operations including outbound and sortation, ensuring packages are dispatched accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence and lead by example: this is a hands-on leadership role.
  • Drive Safety, Quality, and Cost metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas.
  • Champion OSHA compliance, PPE availability, and a safety-first culture across your team.
  • Manage supply inventory and submit bi-weekly orders to prevent stock-outs and control costs.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and develop a team of hourly leads and associates, both full-time and contingent.
  • Build bench strength by growing the number of qualified warehouse personnel in your market ahead of volume increases.
  • Conduct regular performance and development conversations; celebrate wins and coach proactively.
  • Partner with the General Manager on platform associate workforce planning and team engagement.
  • Assist with P&L management for your market, understanding the cost drivers and levers within your control.
  • Use data to identify operational trends and execute process improvements that improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Client Operations, People, and Central Ops to resolve issues and exceed client expectations.
  • Partner with the Client Operations team to deliver on last-mile commitments and strengthen client relationships.
