About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Site Lead Support to join our team! This advanced analyst/engineer will be part of a team of dedicated professionals in support of GM Test at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB). GM Test is responsible for the demonstration of Homeland Defense capabilities through GMD system ground, flight and cyber-testing. This individual will support activities such as planning, and problem solving to support the development, integration and operations of GMD Flight Test launches at VSFB, CA.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance is required
  • MA/MS with 10+ years of relevant experience (a BA/BS with 5 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the MA/MS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Prior testing experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within MDA.
  • Experience working within GMD.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of VSFB operations, infrastructure, and facilities is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, desired.
  • Knowledge of Military physical and information security processes is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the GM Test Site Lead by providing programmatic, technical, and analytical support.
  • Participate in test integration and planning meetings, CONOPS Phase Reviews, data archival meetings, and ad hoc meetings as required.
  • Develops, integrates/updates, coordinates, and distributes various monthly and weekly status report products for the GM Test Site Lead to be used by the GMD Program Director, GM Test Director and GM Flight Test Lead.
  • Review contractor activities, practices, procedures, plans, specifications, designs, analysis, drawings, test procedures, reports, and other program documentation (i.e. EWOCS, other GMD contracts) to evaluate compliance with technical guidelines and requirements.
  • Coordinate with the MDA/DTR and VSFB Program Support Manager (PSM) to facilitate Universal Documentation System (UDS) requirements and submittals, range task scheduling, range instrumentation support, and safety, environmental, and security procedures.
  • Coordinate with the VSFB (PSM), VSFB security, and GM Test to facilitate coordination and approval of visitor access requests and credentials for visits to VSFB and MDA facilities.
  • Monitor activities and provide support during vehicle receipt, assembly, inspection and emplacement, conduct of vehicle build up, ground tests, system tests, launch and post flight activities.
  • Effort includes scheduling, resolution of comm, TM, instrumentation, launch countdown and other Range related issues.
  • Assist in the programmatic and logistical support for test activities at VSFB to include range interface and coordination, test operations and execution, safety, and facility readiness and security.
  • Prepare launch countdown procedures and support for instrumentation checkout and logistics planning.
  • Provide support for the development of requirements and monitoring range modifications and upgrades for GMD test launches (i.e. flight test, TOOs, Glory Trips) from VAFB.
