About The Position

The Site IT Operations Engineer will be responsible for implementing corporate and division IT standards and recommendations, leading or contributing to IT/IS projects, and deploying and supporting locally managed IS solutions. This role involves participating in information security risk assessments, managing security incidents, and maintaining hardware inventory. The engineer will also drive the IT preventive plan, manage local backups, and ensure all IT equipment is secured. Additionally, the position requires creating and maintaining IT/IS documentation, installing hardware and software, ensuring the proper use of IT resources, and training users on IT policies. The role includes providing proximity support to plant users, participating in local IT budget elaboration, and potentially managing additional IT resources. The engineer will also participate in IT BU/Country Meetings and IT System Engineer meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Science/Business Administration or equivalent experience in IT
  • IT certifications (Operating system, network…)
  • Operational management of IT infrastructure in an industrial environment
  • End user support (expertise and communication)
  • 5+ years in IT infrastructure management across automotive, logistics, and technology services
  • Technical Experience: Systems: Windows Server, VMware
  • Technical Experience: Networking: Cisco switches, LAN/WAN/WLAN, VPNs, firewalls
  • Backups
  • Security & Compliance: Experience handling security incidents, virus containment, and compliance with IT standards

Responsibilities

  • Implement Corporate and Division IT standards and recommendations
  • Lead or contribute to IT/IS projects on his/her site
  • Deploy and support locally managed IS solutions
  • Participate in the definition of the information security risk assessment and treatment plan
  • Manage and report information Security incidents
  • Manage hardware inventory and proposes renewal to site management
  • Make sure all IT equipment is properly secured
  • Manage local backups according to Corporate/ Division Standards
  • Drive the IT preventive plan to organize preventive maintenance operations on site
  • Create and maintain up-to-date site IT / IS documentation
  • Install all hardware and software on site
  • Ensure the right use of IT on all hardware, software and security scope
  • Inform and train all users about rules & rights
  • Provide proximity support to plant users for all IT and computing issues
  • Participate to the elaboration of the local IT budget
  • May manage additional IT resources (subcontractors, trainees…)
  • Participate in IT BU / Country Meetings & IT System Engineer meetings
