About The Position

ID Logistics Canada in Milton, ON is looking for a full time Site Human Resources Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the Site General Manager/Chief Human Resources Officer, the Site Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing strategic and hands-on HR leadership for a high‑volume, fast‑paced third‑party logistics (3PL) distribution or fulfillment site. This role oversees all HR functions including labor relations, talent management, workforce planning, compliance, performance management, and employee engagement. As part of a global organization, this position also plays a critical role in supporting global workforce reporting, data accuracy, adherence to corporate HR governance standards, and alignment with global HR initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive HR generalist or manager experience, preferably within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, labor standards, and workplace health & safety regulations.
  • Experience in a global organization or supporting global HR reporting, governance, or compliance.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP, SuccessFactors) and strong analytical/reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication, influence, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and work in a high‑volume operational setting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary HR point of contact for workforce matters, fostering productive labor‑management relationships.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on employee relations issues, investigations, discipline, and conflict resolution.
  • Partner with site leadership to develop workforce strategies that support operational goals.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention of hourly and salaried staff.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at the site level.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial labor laws, employment standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data, personnel files, attendance tracking, and leave administration.
  • Monitor key HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, safety interactions, productivity trends) and implement improvement plans.
  • Support safety teams to promote a culture of health, safety, and injury prevention.
  • Lead the site performance management cycle, including goal setting, coaching, evaluations, and corrective actions.
  • Provide coaching to supervisors and managers to strengthen leadership capabilities and ensure consistent application of performance standards.
  • Prepare and submit recurring HR reports, headcount data, KPIs, and analytics to regional and global HR teams.
  • Ensure site data accuracy for global workforce dashboards, compliance audits, and talent systems.
  • Support deployment of global HR programs, policies, HR technology enhancements, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global Centers of Excellence (e.g., Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Learning) to ensure site alignment.
  • Drive initiatives that support a positive, inclusive, and high‑engagement workplace culture.
  • Conduct engagement surveys, focus groups, and follow‑up action planning.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and cultural ambassador for both frontline employees and site leadership.
