About The Position

Molly Moon’s HR Manager is responsible for supporting mooncrew, management and leadership with all aspects of human resources including recruiting and hiring, mooncrew support, training, professional development, policy development and implementation, ongoing diversity and equity work and mooncrew morale and community service projects. This role is highly people focused and requires someone who understands how to navigate the complexities of both people and HR systems. The HR Manager embodies our core values and our mission to make the world a better place one scoop at a time. This position reports to the CFOO and is part of HQ and the Finance/HR Team. The HR Manager works collaboratively with Leadership to develop, implement, and execute HR processes, policies, and programs – both existing and new. The HR Manager is expected to proactively engage and communicate with the mooncrew to understand their needs, hear their concerns and support a joyful, open, and positive culture within molly moon’s. Additionally, this role embodies and promotes a strong appreciation for diversity, equity, inclusion and community within our company. This is a temporary, part-time position at 24 hours per week for an initial 3-month term, with the potential to transition to a full-time, permanent role at the end of the summer based on business needs and performance.

  • Must have 4+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science; 2-year degree or equivalent (preferred)
  • SHRM-CP, and/or
  • HRCI-PHR, and/or
  • Comparable or advanced HR certification

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal and external recruiting efforts to ensure strong applicant flow and diverse applicant pool for regular full-time and seasonal hiring.
  • Coordinate with Operations Team to ensure hiring needs are met. Update job descriptions and
  • Participate in candidate interviews & facilitate post-interview discussion and hiring decisions as needed.
  • Manage new hire onboarding process and ensure all required paperwork and benefits forms are filled out correctly and processed in a timely manner.
  • Be visible and accessible to mooncrew; answer HR-related inquiries and provide policy clarification.
  • Manage and respond to all correspondence in the people@mollymoon email and all HR-directed questions on slack.
  • Manage employee happiness surveys and results database
  • Coordinate evaluation process to include monitoring review dates, requesting self-evaluations and manager evaluations, notifying managers, and updating employee files and wage information.
  • Provide coaching and consulting to managers and employees on all people matters
  • Provide ongoing support to Managers and Employees on human resource-related matters, HR policies and practices; assist with development and implementation of solutions.
  • Collaborate with managers on people matters that require in-depth knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations. Work with legal counsel as necessary.
  • Collaborate with leadership and management on employee engagement, conflict resolution, performance management and disciplinary actions and employee exits.
  • Participate in investigations of employee complaints. Conduct interviews and document conversations as needed to ensure effective decision-making.
  • Manage employee records in ADP. Enter new employees into system and update as necessary to include transfers, role changes, wage increases and terminations.
  • Manage all HR documentation and personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
  • Other HR related responsibilities as required.
  • Create a recruitment plan for each annual hiring season that builds on the successes of the prior years’ work and finds areas for improvement. Work with Leadership team to identify diversity and equity goals and partnerships for each recruitment season.
  • Manage the annual mooncrew recruitment process for seasonal hires and year-round roles
  • Work collaboratively with Leadership to communicate equity goals, initiatives, and outcomes to the mooncrew.
  • Manage EEO Database of how mooncrew identify for internal and government reporting
  • Assist with the administration and tracking of employee benefit programs including medical and dental, transportation benefits, 401(k), and family/medical/disability leaves, L&I and ESD claims.
  • Actively participate in and advise on the selection of employee benefit programs.
  • Maintain required employment posters required by state and local laws and regulations in all shops and workplaces
  • Support managers and employees in identifying capability gaps to further develop functional and managerial skills.
  • Support members of the mooncrew by promoting and facilitating career pathways participation including career conversations, career advancement and growth plans and other development initiatives.
  • Support training and education initiatives to further drive collective education and manager effectiveness. Actively participate in HR trainings and presentations as available
  • Collaborate with leadership team and marketing department to produce inspiring events, programs and merchandise that recognize mooncrew for their hard work and shared values.
