About The Position
FanSided is seeking a Site Expert for Gone Puck Wild, a site dedicated to the Minnesota Wild. The role focuses on building a vibrant community around the team and providing readers with fresh daily content, including a mix of news and opinionated analysis. The Site Expert is expected to offer knowledgeable, distinctive coverage that readers cannot find elsewhere and to determine content strategy, with advice and support available from FanSided and a co-expert where applicable. The Site Expert leads a site publishing multiple pieces of content each day. They produce most of the required posts and receive support from other contributors. Compensation is based on a combination of traffic generated by the Site Expert’s articles and the site’s overall monthly traffic; rates may vary according to traffic, the expert’s experience, and the site. Site Experts are independent contractors.
Requirements
- Knowledge and passion for the Minnesota Wild and its fandom.
- Ability to create distinctive, knowledgeable content for readers.
- Ability to produce fresh content regularly and contribute to a site publishing multiple pieces daily.
Responsibilities
- Build a vibrant community around the Minnesota Wild.
- Provide readers with fresh daily content, including news stories, analysis, viral discussions, and other content.
- Develop and carry out a strategy for content efforts.
- Produce the majority of the site's required posts and help lead a site that publishes multiple pieces of content daily.
- Edit contributors’ articles, provide feedback, and suggest topic ideas.
- Support the site's social media accounts, typically Twitter and Facebook, by sharing articles and engaging creatively with fans.
