About The Position

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is in search of a Site EHS Engineer. You will be responsible for implementation of site Environmental Health and Safety tasks. Scope of work includes managing EHS programs, leading EHS required training, ensuring chemical use/hazard/risk data is collected and interpreted for reporting, and implementing and integrating all related EHS management systems into facility processes. This opportunity offers a 1st shift, On-site schedule at our East Aurora, NY Location.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, chemical, engineering, or related field
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years environmental, health and safety experience in a manufacturing or production related environment
  • Identifying hazards, assessing risk and provide options to eliminate or minimize the hazards/risks.
  • Ability to review and interpret EHS data and support follow-up actions
  • Experience assisting with site EHS procedures and programs
  • Experience supporting the implementation of EHS programs
  • Experience participating in EHS assessments and helping prioritize findings
  • Ability to assist in developing and delivering EHS training
  • Experience supporting incident investigations and corrective action effort

Responsibilities

  • Support the identification of hazards and help assess associated risks across operations
  • Assist with creating or updating EHS procedures and audit programs to reduce risks
  • Support the development, maintenance, and delivery of EHS training programs
  • Review EHS regulations with guidance and support compliance initiatives
  • Provide day-to-day EHS support to employees and supervisors
  • Help monitor regulatory requirements, reporting, and EHS systems to maintain compliance
  • Participate in emergency response activities as needed
  • Support interactions with regulatory agencies during inspections and follow-ups
  • Assist with internal and external EHS reporting requirements (e.g., OSHA, ESG data)
  • Work collaboratively with site leadership and EHS teams to support EHS initiatives
