About The Position

Moog is seeking a Site EHS Engineer for its Military Aircraft Group. This role is responsible for implementing site Environmental Health and Safety tasks, managing EHS programs, leading EHS training, collecting and interpreting chemical use/hazard/risk data for reporting, and integrating EHS management systems into facility processes. The position is a 1st shift, onsite role in East Aurora, NY.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, chemical, engineering, or related field
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
  • A minimum of 3 years environmental, health and safety experience in a manufacturing or production related environment
  • Identifying hazards, assessing risk and provide options to eliminate or minimize the hazards/risks
  • Ability to review and interpret EHS data and support follow-up actions
  • Experience assisting with site EHS procedures and programs
  • Experience supporting the implementation of EHS programs
  • Experience participating in EHS assessments and helping prioritize findings
  • Ability to assist in developing and delivering EHS training
  • Experience supporting incident investigations and corrective action efforts

Responsibilities

  • Support the identification of hazards and help assess associated risks across operations
  • Assist with creating or updating EHS procedures and audit programs to reduce risks
  • Support the development, maintenance, and delivery of EHS training programs
  • Review EHS regulations with guidance and support compliance initiatives
  • Provide day-to-day EHS support to employees and supervisors
  • Help monitor regulatory requirements, reporting, and EHS systems to maintain compliance
  • Participate in emergency response activities as needed
  • Support interactions with regulatory agencies during inspections and follow-ups
  • Assist with internal and external EHS reporting requirements (e.g., OSHA, ESG data)
  • Work collaboratively with site leadership and EHS teams to support EHS initiatives
