After School Site Directors
About The Position
The Site Director leads an after-school program at a District 11 school site in Colorado Springs, Colorado, during the 2026–2027 school year. This is a part-time afternoon role of approximately 21 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with program hours from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Morning availability to float between sites may provide additional hours. Site Directors shape their site's culture, lead curriculum, mentor staff, oversee daily operations and student safety, and ensure compliance with Colorado licensing requirements. They partner with students, families, school staff, and administrators to provide engaging, responsive programming. Directors receive monthly themed curriculum options and may choose labs and activities within those themes and Leading Edge enrichment standards, while personalizing programming for their school community.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in education or licensed childcare leadership.
- At least 2 years of experience working with school-aged children.
- Must meet or be able to meet Colorado state licensing qualifications.
- Reliable transportation to and from school sites.
- Comfort using technology and web-based systems.

Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and supervise site staff.
- Oversee daily program operations and student safety.

- Ensure proper staff-to-student ratios and smooth daily transitions.
- Communicate regularly with families, school staff, and administrators.
- Complete attendance tracking, documentation, and incident reports.
- Support onboarding and coaching of new team members.
- Foster a welcoming, structured, and inclusive environment for students.
- Choose and personalize labs and activities in alignment with monthly themes and Leading Edge enrichment standards.
