About The Position

The Site Coordinator for the 21st Century Community Learning Center is an administrative/coordinator position responsible for overseeing the program at Horizon Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a grant-funded position, and continued employment is contingent upon funding. The role involves developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating high-quality out-of-school-time programming aligned with campus improvement goals. The coordinator will also manage grant performance measures, ensure compliance with federal, state, district, and grant requirements, and build positive relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in education, youth development, afterschool programming, or program coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and student information/data management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities, and meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate or other appropriate educator certification preferred.
  • Campus leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience managing grant-funded programs, federal programs or expanded learning opportunities preferred.
  • Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or contracted service providers preferred.
  • Knowledge of Texas ACE and Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program requirements.
  • Understanding of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), student academic interventions, and expanded learning programming.
  • Knowledge of data collection, data analysis, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Experience coordinating family engagement, youth development, enrichment activities, and academic support services.
