About The Position

As a Formwork & Site Operations Support professional, you’ll play a key role in coordinating the moving parts that keep our high-rise builds on time, on budget, and above standard. This role involves supporting the Superintendent with daily formwork coordination, sequencing, and tracking progress against the project schedule. It also includes assisting in monitoring field work to ensure compliance with CapWest safety standards, procedures, drawings, and specifications. The role further involves coordinating the delivery, staging, and movement of formwork materials, equipment, tables, sections, crane picks, and concrete placements, as well as identifying, tracking, and communicating deficiencies and outstanding work items.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education - Diploma, or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Coordination or related field an asset
  • Previous experience overseeing large high-rise and podium multifamily and commercial projects an asset
  • Strong communicator with high attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing site environment.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, able to follow up and close out tasks without reminders.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to enforce process without conflict.
  • Familiarity with formwork, cranes, equipment, and general site operations is an asset.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Smartsheet, OneDrive, and basic construction software is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Superintendent with daily formwork coordination, sequencing, and tracking progress against the project schedule.
  • Assist in monitoring field work to ensure compliance with CapWest safety standards, procedures, drawings, and specifications.
  • Help coordinate delivery, staging, and movement of formwork materials, equipment, tables, sections, crane picks, concrete placements, etc.
  • Assist in identifying, tracking, and communicating deficiencies and outstanding work items.
  • Collect, file, and organize all safety documentation (FLHAs, toolbox talks, inspections, NDT reports, certifications, hazard IDs, etc.) into the correct platform (SharePoint, OneDrive, Smartsheet, and physical binders).
  • Ensure required safety documentation is completed daily/weekly and follow up with crew members as needed.
  • Share uploaded safety items with the appropriate internal teams.
  • Support the Safety team with scheduling inspections, paperwork requests, and follow-ups.
  • Track certifications/expiry dates for site personnel (fall protection, WHMIS, equipment tickets, rigger, etc.) as directed by the Safety Rep or Site Leadership.
  • Assist with booking NDTs for equipment on site (crane, placing boom, hoist, rigging, etc.) in collaboration with the Operations Coordinator and Equipment Manager.
  • Update site log of equipment inspections, deficiencies, and upcoming renewal dates.
  • Coordinate service calls or equipment swaps with the office/equipment teams as required.
  • Track and submit all equipment-related documentation.
  • Place orders for materials, tools, consumables, and trucking through the office Purchasing team.
  • Receive deliveries on site, verify quantities, and send packing slips/photos/documentation to the office and Purchasing desk the same day.
  • Maintain materials logs (rebar, plywood, formwork components, embeds, hardware, etc.).
  • Act as the primary communication bridge between site and office.
  • Assist with preparing and submitting RFIs and gathering required information from site.
  • Coordinate with sub-trades, consultants, and internal teams to keep deliverables on track.
  • Support the drafting, updating, and filing of meeting minutes and site reports.
  • Maintain project file structures and ensure consistent naming conventions and document control.
  • Monitor daily progress (formwork cycle, manpower, deliveries, concrete placements) and provide updates to project and office teams.
  • Assist with documenting delays, issues, or impacts affecting schedule or productivity.
