About The Position

The Program Site Coordinator will oversee staff and after school activities directly. The Program Site Coordinator is tasked with ensuring that the afterschool program, winter and summer camps and all other programming align with core competencies as outlined by DYCD, DOH, and FDNY protocols. The Program Site Coordinator will foster social and emotional learning through a range of engaging activities, which include project-based initiatives, creative and performance art programming, STEM activities, sports, and literacy-focused programs. The Program Site Coordinator will collaborate closely with DOE staff and parents. The Program Site Coordinator will be accountable for updating the DYCD system, entering incident reports, submitting the workscope, and uploading daily attendance records. The Program Coordinator will also be responsible for completing required training courses for DYCD, DOH, and FDNY. Additionally, the Program Site Coordinator must obtain certification from FDNY.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in education or related field.
  • Relevant work experience in a school-based setting, Cornerstone or Beacon program.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, and meticulous organizational skills.
  • Ability to write clear, concise and accurate reports.
  • Comfort working in team settings and with diverse individuals.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with culturally diversified individuals.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data.

Responsibilities
