Site Coordinator - School Aged Child Care
About The Position
The Westfield Area YMCA is seeking caring, supportive, and responsible individuals to serve as Site Coordinators for their school-aged child care program (K-5). This role will be based at various elementary school locations and is expected to begin in late August. The Site Coordinator will manage and supervise their assigned program site, either independently or in conjunction with a Director. Key duties include overseeing staff, establishing daily schedules, acting as a point of contact for YMCA parents and external organizations, and ensuring adherence to all center policies, regulations, and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree + 1 year of experience; OR CDA/AA + 2 years experience; OR HS diploma/GED + 3 years experience
- Must be 18 years or older
- Experience working in a child care setting
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work as a team with other YMCA staff members
Responsibilities
- Management and supervision of the assigned program site
- Supervising staff
- Setting up daily schedules
- Serving as a liaison with YMCA parents and outside organizations
- Ensuring all policies, regulations and standards of the center are met
