About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is looking for a positive role model to help plan programming, assist with center oversight, and supervise children in our after-school child care program at Cloverhill Elementary School. The hours for this position are 2:00pm-6pm. This is a rewarding leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is excited to help children grow, learn, and feel supported every day.

Requirements

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Experience leading groups of youth
• A positive, enthusiastic leadership style
• Virginia DOE licensing qualifications (college-level coursework in a related field or CDA required)
• Must be at least 21 years old

Responsibilities

• Supervising and led on-site staff
• Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for school-age children
• Building strong relationships with children and families and serving as a key point of communication
• Ensuring compliance with Virginia DOE licensing requirements and YMCA quality standards
• Managing site safety, equipment, and facilities
• Attending required child care trainings
