About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Project Manager for its Danville, Virginia office. The role combines technical, project management, and market access responsibilities, leading site/civil design projects in commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential markets in the private and/or public sector. The Project Manager leads and coordinates design teams, manages multiple projects, supports business development, and works with clients and agency staff. The position also includes mentoring staff and representing the company at meetings and other events as needed.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of directly related experience in commercial/residential markets.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD Civil 3D, storm water modeling software, and Microsoft Office programs.

Nice To Haves

• North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in site/civil project design, including site layout, site planning, grading, storm water management, erosion and sediment control, roadways, utilities, and permitting.
• Manage design for multiple projects.
• Assist with business development, marketing, and proposal efforts.
• Oversee, train, and mentor junior- and mid-level staff.
• Work closely with clients and agency staff, including attending public and/or construction meetings, and represent the company at other events as needed.
• Work on multiple project assignments concurrently.
• Interact with clients and maintain project budgets and schedules.
• Provide technical expertise to design staff.
• Contribute to a team environment.
