Site Acquisition Specialist
About The Position
Ledcor Technical Services is seeking an experienced Site Acquisition Specialist to support telecommunications infrastructure projects. The role involves site acquisition and leasing, regulatory coordination, municipal and jurisdictional planning, permitting, and zoning. The specialist works closely with architectural and engineering teams, land surveyors, and project managers to coordinate site acquisition for network routes. The position requires approximately 20% travel to Ledcor project sites and offices. The posting lists two expected base-pay ranges: $58,400–$80,300 and $67,200–$92,400. Individual base pay depends on factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education, and location. Requirements
- 2–5 years of site acquisition experience.
- Experience reviewing leases and surveys and obtaining zoning and permit approvals for telecommunications or utility projects.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Effective presentation skills for zoning hearings.
- Ability to independently manage schedules and priorities.
- Ability to review and understand construction drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate leases with landowners and clients, including conducting site investigations and preparing documents.
- Oversee zoning and permitting processes and secure necessary approvals for telecommunications routes.
- Develop and manage Site Candidate Information Packages (SCIP) and coordinate site requirements.
- Prepare and monitor site budgets and schedules to support timely project delivery.
- Coordinate power to sites and manage easements, title reviews, and survey evaluations.
- Review and interpret purchase agreements and other legal documents.
- Build relationships with landowners and stakeholders to facilitate site acquisition.
