About The Position

This is a seasonal position in Oklahoma City, OK 73111. The role involves greeting and welcoming guests to the dining room, escorting them to appropriate seating to ensure balanced distribution among staff, and directing servers and bus staff to maintain clean and ready stations and tables. The position may require moving tables and chairs for guest setup and occasionally relieving the Cashier. It also involves adhering to dining room operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations, and departmental policies. The role requires knowledge of dining room management, decision-making, problem-solving, complaint resolution, and customer service. The host must notify appropriate staff when assistance is needed, maintain an upbeat and outgoing demeanor, ensure compliance with regulations and policies, and promote excellent customer relations. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skills, and experience in dining room management, decision-making, problem solving, complaint resolution, and customer service.
  • Demonstrates an upbeat and outgoing demeanor while on duty.
  • One to two years of work experience in job dealing in person and on the telephone directly with guests would be preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcomes guests to the dining room.
  • Escorts and provides seating in appropriate areas to ensure dining room staff is not overloaded.
  • Provides direction to Servers and Bus staff as needed to ensure stations and tables are cleaned and ready to accept new guests.
  • At regular times will be required to move tables and chairs to set area for guests.
  • Relieves Cashier as may be required throughout the shift.
  • Follows all dining room operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Notifies appropriate staff members when assistance is needed.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations.
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.
