The Signals and Communications Apprentice (S&C) is responsible for installing, repairing, testing, and maintaining various signals and communications systems and apparatuses, including railway signaling systems, wayside information systems, and highway grade crossing protection systems. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, performing physical tasks, and adhering to strict safety protocols. The apprenticeship includes comprehensive paid training, both theoretical and practical, to develop the skills necessary to become a qualified Signals and Communications Maintainer.
