About The Position

FASTSIGNS of Geneva is hiring a part-time Sign Production and Installation Specialist to produce and install signs and graphics. The role involves taking projects from shop preparation through final on-site installation in an active, hands-on environment. The franchise location is independently owned and operated, and hiring decisions are made by its management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to stand for long periods of time (four hours or more).
Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
Ability to lean over a waist-high table and use a back-and-forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
Ability to work under pressure while producing high-volume, high-quality work.
Ability to use light power equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to perform tasks at heights on a ladder.

Nice To Haves

Experience in sign production is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Follow layouts to apply computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphics to predetermined substrates or other media.
Prepare substrates for vinyl application, including cutting, painting, laminating, and cleaning.
Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images using techniques appropriate to the vinyl and image complexity.
Operate and maintain printers.
Perform pre- and post-production quality assurance by interpreting work orders and checking for errors or unacceptable standards.
Finish printed pieces, including laminating and mounting.
Install finished graphics offsite at customer locations.
Report inventory levels and items to reorder to the center manager, production manager, or franchisee.
Clean and maintain storage areas.
