About The Position

FASTSIGNS of Geneva is hiring a part-time Sign Production and Installation Specialist to produce and install signs and graphics. The role involves hands-on work in an active environment, taking projects from shop preparation through final installation at customer locations. The specialist follows layouts and work orders, prepares substrates, operates and maintains printers, performs quality checks and finishing work, and maintains inventory and storage areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to stand for long periods of time, including four hours or more.
Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use a back-and-forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
Ability to work under pressure while producing high-volume, high-quality work.
Ability to use light power equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to perform tasks at heights on a ladder.

Nice To Haves

Experience in sign production is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Follow layouts to apply computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic images to predetermined substrates or media.
Prepare substrates for vinyl application by cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and performing related tasks.
Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images using techniques suited to the size, type of vinyl, and complexity of the image.
Operate and maintain printers.
Perform pre- and post-production quality assurance by accurately reading and interpreting work orders and checking for errors or unacceptable standards.
Perform finishing operations such as laminating or mounting printed pieces.
Install finished graphics offsite at customer locations.
Report inventory levels and items to be reordered to the center manager, production manager, or franchisee.
Clean and maintain storage areas.
