About The Position

Transports staff, patients, and visitors safely and properly, with occasional guidance. The role supports Vanderbilt Health by helping provide a positive patient and visitor experience. Duties may include additional tasks beyond the responsibilities listed.

Requirements

• Tennessee driver’s license.
• One year of relevant work experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of safe and compliant driving practices, equipment inspections, safety requirements, and local roads and locations.
• Ability to provide customer service and use critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles, maintain the cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, and log trip counts.
• Assist passengers with special needs.
• Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, and unusual occurrences.
• Transport staff, patients, and visitors safely and properly.
