About The Position

Propark Mobility is hiring full-time Shuttle Drivers to transport customers to and from facilities at Howard University in Washington, DC, and Bowie Express in Bowie, Maryland. The role offers a pay rate of $21.00 per hour and is scheduled to start immediately. Morning and evening shifts are available, including weekend and holiday work. Drivers operate shuttle buses safely, assist passengers, communicate with dispatch, and perform vehicle inspections. The position may involve working in prevailing weather conditions and exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and minimal-to-moderate noise.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and at least three years of driving experience.
• Ability to operate a passenger van safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Able to stand, run, and carry items up to 50 pounds if needed.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills and a friendly, professional approach.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and help resolve customer issues positively.

Responsibilities

• Drive a shuttle bus and transport customers to and from the facility.
• Greet passengers and assist them with loading and unloading.
• Operate the shuttle bus safely and efficiently while complying with traffic and safety regulations.
• Monitor vehicle condition and record malfunctions or damage on appropriate forms.
• Communicate with dispatchers, drivers, and other employees using a two-way radio to relay routes, announce arrivals and delays, coordinate customer pickups, and address vehicle or customer issues.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure buses are in sound operating condition.
• Monitor traffic and weather conditions and notify dispatch or a supervisor of potential problems.
• Report accidents and other safety situations to dispatch or a supervisor.
• Treat customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.
