About The Position

Courtyard Fort Worth Alliance Airport is hiring for a Shuttle Driver. This role is crucial in providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming ride, which is an important part of the guest experience. The Shuttle Driver is often one of the first and last members of the hotel team a guest may meet, and plays a key role in creating a positive experience for all guests, including airline crews, business travelers, groups, and leisure guests. The position requires a strong belief in hospitality starting before a guest enters the hotel, punctuality, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and well-maintained shuttle.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required.
  • Ability to meet all company and insurance requirements for operating a hotel vehicle.
  • Strong verbal communication and guest-service skills.
  • Ability to follow schedules, routes, pickup instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to use a mobile phone, radio, navigation system, or other transportation-related technology.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in traffic, during delays, and when assisting guests with changing travel needs.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with the Front Desk.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
  • Ability to enter and exit the shuttle frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull while assisting guests and handling luggage.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to safely operate a hotel vehicle in varying traffic, road, and weather conditions.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors and in changing temperatures.
  • Ability to visually monitor road conditions, mirrors, vehicle surroundings, and safety indicators.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through radio or electronic systems.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and attention to safety in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous professional driving, transportation, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of local roads, airports, businesses, and attractions preferred.
  • Bilingual communication skills preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Transporting guests safely and efficiently to and from approved destinations.
  • Following assigned routes, schedules, pickup instructions, and hotel transportation procedures.
  • Assisting guests with luggage, packages, and personal belongings when needed.
  • Communicating clearly with the Front Desk regarding pickups, drop-offs, delays, and guest needs.
  • Keeping the hotel shuttle clean, organized, fueled, and ready for each trip.
  • Completing required vehicle inspections and promptly reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Following all traffic laws and operating the vehicle safely in changing road, traffic, and weather conditions.
  • Providing helpful information about the hotel, surrounding area, transportation options, and local destinations.
  • Creating a positive experience for airline crews, business travelers, groups, and leisure guests.
  • Remaining calm, courteous, and adaptable when schedules shift or travel plans change.
