About The Position

Shearer’s Foods is hiring a Shuttle Driver for food manufacturing operations. The role involves unloading products and moving trailers between storage locations and the manufacturing facility. The schedule is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on a 2-2-3-3 rotation. The position pays $20.40 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence, with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Experience driving and operating stand-up forklifts and hand lifts.
• At least six months of commercial driving experience, or at least three months of commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
• Proven safe driving record.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift.
• Comfort driving and working in inclement weather with frequent stops.

Responsibilities

• Unload products carefully from trailers using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, forklift, or by hand, and place them in designated storage areas.
• Use jockey trucks to move trailers between storage locations and the manufacturing facility.
• Verify truck-load accuracy and obtain required signatures.
• Perform customer-service responsibilities professionally to enhance the client experience.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift.
• Drive and work in inclement weather, making frequent stops (10 or more per shift).
