About The Position

The Shuttle Driver transports guests between resort properties in a safe, efficient, and cheerful manner while maintaining a professional presentation. The role involves operating the shuttle to pick up and drop off guests, assisting guests with boarding and exiting as needed, and responding to front desk pickup requests for River Lodge, Stone Hill Lodge, Soaky Mountain Waterpark, Cabins, Villas, and Wyndham locations. The driver is responsible for keeping the shuttle clean and ensuring lost-and-found items are delivered appropriately. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• No prior experience or training is required.
• Tennessee Driver’s License with F Endorsement, or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
• Must be able to be covered by and maintain company insurance.
• Good negotiation and listening skills.
• Ability to act independently with little supervision.
• Good understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge of resort amenities and room designs.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Professionalism, good grooming habits, and proper uniform.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a positive attitude.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; and draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to use common-sense understanding to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Physical ability to regularly sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear; occasionally stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and taste or smell.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 and 25 pounds.
• Distant vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Operate the shuttle between properties to pick up and drop off guests.
• Communicate with people at all levels and assist guests on and off the shuttle as needed.
• Keep the shuttle clean.
• Provide lost-and-found items to the appropriate lost-and-found location.
• Respond to front desk requests for guest pickups at River Lodge, Stone Hill Lodge, Soaky Mountain Waterpark, Cabins, Villas, and Wyndham locations.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
• Represent the company professionally to guests.
• Follow resort and department policies and standard operating procedures.
