About The Position

The CDL Shuttle Driver transports passengers to and from designated locations within the UPS World Port facility. The role operates a 40-passenger shuttle bus in a secure, high-traffic environment with other moving vehicles and aircraft. This position is described as suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
Must have a Passenger Endorsement.
One year of prior work experience as a CDL Driver is required.

Responsibilities

Transport passengers to designated pick-up and drop-off locations.
Safely load and unload passengers, including operating and handling specialized equipment for passengers with special needs, such as wheelchair lifts and tie-downs.
Inspect the shuttle for preexisting damage and record information using an electronic device or manual ticket.
Provide excellent customer service to guests.
Maintain and enforce the bus evacuation plan and coordinate evacuation activities as appropriate.
Immediately report incidents or claims to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
Refuel the vehicle.
Maintain a clean work environment and disinfect the shuttle after each use.
Perform pre- and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, adherence to Department of Transportation standards, and compliance with safety standards.
