About The Position

Parts Authority is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport items between stores on assigned routes and schedules. The driver works with the shuttle team to ensure orders are complete, correctly packed, and safely delivered. The role calls for prompt, polite service and careful, safe handling of deliveries. Drivers may also assist with other store or warehouse duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years old to meet company insurance requirements.
• Current, valid automobile insurance with the applicant’s name on the policy.
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; auto body parts collision drivers must be able to lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to use a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation and route optimization.
• Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team.
• Must meet all stated minimum requirements and qualifications and knowledge, skills, and abilities to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority.

Nice To Haves

• Flexible schedule and ability to work overtime as needed preferred.
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver items between stores safely and on time.
• Review orders before and after delivery to confirm completeness and correct charges and to ensure team member satisfaction.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Follow assigned routes and time schedules.
• Follow transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Prepare reports and other delivery-related documents.
• Use route navigation apps and local area knowledge to deliver packages on time.
• When applicable, complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and report issues to a manager.
• Assist with other store or warehouse duties as assigned, including stocking and parts pulling.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
