About The Position

The Heritage Shuttle Driver is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for senior adults between their residences and Heritage at The J. The Driver will use a company-provided vehicle, which may be a passenger van or mini-coach. This is a part-time position, approximately 12 hours per week, with shifts typically from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 10:30 am. Some flexibility to cover additional hours in the afternoons or on Fridays is helpful.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Age 21 or over
  • At least 3 years of experience safely operating a personal or commercial vehicle
  • Valid driver license with classification appropriate to operate company vehicles and valid auto insurance - no CDL needed
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations within the past three years
  • Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations for the State of Kansas
  • Must be able to safely operate company vehicles in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work with senior adults and provide excellent customer service with kindness, patience and concerns for safety at all times

Responsibilities

  • Transport senior adults between their residences and Heritage at The J as well as after school kids from 3 local elementary schools to The J
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers upon pick-up and drop-off
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations regarding the lawful operation of a motor vehicle
  • Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles, inside and out
  • Monitor service schedules for vehicles and inform Heritage director when service is needed
  • Monitor fuel levels of company vehicles, purchase fuel as needed and follow all policies for using company purchase card
