About The Position

The Shuttle Driver/Bell-person at the Omaha Marriott Downtown warmly escorts guests, helps with luggage, and acquaints guests with their rooms and room features. The role also involves driving guests to approved destinations in a company van, completing other assigned driving errands, and delivering friendly, courteous service. The hotel is part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally in English.
Ability to read English sufficiently to obtain information from luggage tags and claim checks and write names and numbers on claim checks and rooming lists.
Ability to continuously grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move packages, boxes, and luggage weighing up to 45 pounds throughout the shift.
Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit while continuously performing essential job functions.
Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to load and unload luggage.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on the property.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a friendly and sincere welcome.
Retrieve guest items from cars, buses, vans, and carts.
Lift, carry, and load luggage and packages onto a bell cart and transport them to designated rooms.
Navigate bell carts through public areas, guest-room corridors, and elevators.
Drive guests to approved destinations in the company van and perform other assigned driving errands.
Listen and respond to guest inquiries, answer questions, and provide accurate information and assistance.
Maintain a professional image while at work.
Monitor company van maintenance requirements and communicate needs to management.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
Perform other duties as assigned.
