About The Position

Imperial Beverage is hiring a Shuttle Driver to transport beer, wine, and spirits between its warehouses and help ensure each location has the product needed for customers. Drivers depart from the Kalamazoo warehouse Monday through Thursday at 10:30 p.m. and return early in the morning, with drivers home daily. The role requires safe driving, attention to detail, and a willingness to assist coworkers and suppliers as needed. Drivers perform pre-trip inspections, verify truck loading, drive to the Livonia, Michigan warehouse, unload product, help load local delivery trucks, and load returns and empty containers for transport back to Kalamazoo. The job may occasionally include customer or supplier deliveries or pickups. Drivers must operate vehicles safely and in accordance with DOT rules and regulations.

Requirements

Current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
Be at least 19 years of age.
Have a reliable personal cell phone capable of receiving calls and text messages, with the number available internally.
Customer service skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull an average of 50 pounds and move up to 165 pounds.
Ability to perform physical and driving tasks while exposed to varying weather conditions.
Good driving record.
Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per day.

Responsibilities

Perform a pre-trip inspection upon arriving at the warehouse.
Verify the accuracy and proper loading of products on the truck.
Drive the truck from the Kalamazoo warehouse to the Livonia, Michigan warehouse.
Unload products and help load local delivery trucks.
Load returns and empty containers for transport to the Kalamazoo warehouse.
Occasionally make deliveries to or pickups from customers or suppliers.
Safely operate the delivery vehicle according to DOT rules and regulations.
Help coworkers and suppliers when needed.
