About The Position

The Shuttle Driver - Bellman is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests by warmly greeting them, assisting with their luggage, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. This role also involves driving the shuttle van safely, managing luggage carts, delivering items to guests, and performing basic vehicle maintenance checks. The position requires knowledge of hotel services and amenities, and the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Class E Driver’s License with a clean driving record with no major violations
  • Ability to maintain composure and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to complete and maintain safety training and certifications
  • Basic working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Genuinely enjoys working with staff and guests
  • Proven dependability with a good attendance record
  • Desire to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Ability to speak clearly and communicate professionally with guests, associates, and others
  • Ability to answer phones/pagers/two-way radios, etc., using appropriate etiquette
  • Completing all checklists and duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
  • Possess proof of safe driving record as indicated by a copy of Motor Vehicle Record as per company's Risk Management Handbook.

Responsibilities

  • Open entrance doors for all guests and warmly greet and welcome them.
  • Carry baggage to the guest's room.
  • Ensure the front lobby, front interior, and exterior entrances are kept clean.
  • Have knowledge of hotel property, staff, services, and hours of operation.
  • Sell hotel amenities (e.g., restaurant, lounge).
  • Pick up and deliver guest laundry for valet service.
  • Be responsible for the arrangement and storage of luggage carts.
  • Deliver packages, faxes, and messages to guests.
  • Safely drive the shuttle van, possessing a valid state driver's license (or chauffeur's license if required).
  • Inspect the property vehicle for condition, working order, and damage, ensuring cleanliness at the start and end of each shift.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Document all property vehicle incidents (e.g., damages, accidents) and provide reports to the manager.
  • Report all injuries and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Comply with company quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
