About The Position
Shuttle Cart Driver provides safe, efficient, and friendly inter-campus transportation service to passengers, utilizing the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital shuttle cart system. This is an entry level role, previous job experience as a driver is ideal but not required. Valid Driver’s License required.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license, responsible driving record
- Previous driver experience
- Previous customer service experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- High standard of integrity
- Possess a positive attitude, professional and courteous demeanor
- Remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and converse in the English language
- Able to sit for extended periods of time (approximately 90% of the work day)
- Able to work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, rain, etc.
Nice To Haves
- Previous job experience as a driver is ideal but not required.
Responsibilities
- Drive passengers to and from designated locations on campus in a safe and timely manner
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to passengers
- Ensure shuttle cart vehicle is clean and free of debris at all times
- Log accurate passenger counts each hour and report data as needed
- Report any shuttle cart maintenance issues to supervisor immediately
- Obey all traffic laws at all times
- Adhere to Cornerstone’s mission, core values, and cultural standards
