About The Position

The Cart Driver is responsible for transporting guests to and from the casino in a safe and efficient manner using a shuttle cart. This role requires a positive attitude, excellent guest service skills, and the ability to work effectively with team members and follow all casino policies and procedures. The position involves operating a shuttle cart on a schedule, answering guest questions, and maintaining a neat appearance. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members must be flexible with their schedules to meet business needs, including working varying shifts, holidays, and weekends.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform assigned tasks under limited supervision
  • Aptitude to effectively work alone and with other team members in a team environment
  • Ability to speak and understand English, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to operate various types of equipment used in your department, for example personal computers, printers, copy machines, and telephone
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Pass a background check and drug-screening test

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests to the property, answer questions regarding the property, and practice and promote excellent guest service.
  • Drive shuttle cart from parking lot areas to main guest entrance and return to parking lot areas in accordance with established schedule.
  • Ensure guests are transported to and from the casino in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work effectively with peers, team members, and regulatory agency personnel.
  • Understand and comply with all casino and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by reporting supervisor.
  • Understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation, carefully monitoring processes and routine work details.
  • Clearly present information verbally and in writing; read and interpret complex information; actively listen and talk with guests and team members.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during stressful situations.
  • Demonstrate a high level of service delivery to ensure guest and team member satisfaction; handle service failures and prioritize guest and team member needs.
  • Prepare for known problems and opportunities in advance; willingness to undertake additional responsibilities and respond to situations as they arise.
