About The Position

As a Showroom Associate, you are the face of the brand to every guest who walks through the door. You'll welcome visitors, guide them through the collection, answer questions about cooking and care, and help them find the right piece, whether it's their first skillet or a gift meant to last generations. This is a part-time, on-site role of about 30 hours per week, generally 12:00 to 5:00, Monday through Saturday.

Requirements

• A warm, outgoing personality and genuine enjoyment of talking with people in person
• Retail, hospitality, or in-person customer service experience, ideally in a premium or boutique setting
• Interest in cooking, cast iron, or craftsmanship, or eagerness to learn
• Reliable and punctual, and comfortable working Saturdays
• Comfortable using an iPad point-of-sale system (Shopify)
• Able to be on your feet and handle cookware throughout a shift
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome every guest warmly and make them feel at home
• Guide customers through our cast iron and carbon steel collection, sharing product knowledge and the Smithey story
• Answer questions about cooking, seasoning, care, and restoration
• Help customers choose the right piece and complete their purchase at the register
• Keep the showroom clean, well-stocked, and beautifully presented
• Represent Smithey's standard of quality and hospitality in every interaction
