About The Position

Maple Lodge Farms is seeking a Show Team Member/Driver for a 6-month contract position. This role involves performing operational tasks to support the Maple Lodge Farms brand at special events. Responsibilities will vary based on assignments from the Show Team Leader. The company is Canada's largest poultry processor, family-owned, and committed to high standards in technology, health, safety, and quality. They value humility, respect for family, and hard work.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Valid Ontario Class AZ driver’s license required
  • Must be comfortable speaking with people, and have an outgoing and engaging personality
  • Must be able to stand comfortably for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must present a professional appearance and wear specifically required apparel
  • Conditional upon background and reference checks, including a criminal record check

  • Previous retail/ marketing and promotions and/or customer service experience an asset

Responsibilities

  • Promotes products at various events for the Maple Lodge Farms and Zabiha Halal Brands.
  • Drives Special Events truck/trailer to and from events; maintains shop safety and cleanliness of the promotional truck and trailer. Cares for and maintains the promotional truck and trailer.
  • Serves customers by greeting them, promoting product attributes, maintaining kitchen and deli cart areas, replenishing product and promotional materials, and communicating with cooks regarding sample quantities.
  • Cooks product by greeting customers, promoting product attributes, maintaining cleanliness of cooking/preparation area following food safety guidelines, preparing product on the barbeque or deli cart, ensuring sample quantities are filled, adhering to safety regulations, and ensuring barbecues are in perfect condition after each event.
  • Acts as a Promoter by greeting customers, promoting products, interacting with children and adults, chaperoning the mascot, handing out POS materials, taking photos, maintaining cleanliness and organization of condiments, kitchen and serving areas, setting up/tearing down promotional units, and conducting E-Tool surveys.
  • Acts as a Cleaner by maintaining cleanliness of condiment area, replenishing condiments and napkins, ensuring no garbage on stage/ground, and changing garbage outside of the trailer.
  • Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
