About The Position

Shaw Industries is looking for a Short Truck Driver LTO II on 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday 4:00pm-12:00am) to safely move carpet rolls, vinyl rolls, and pallets to proper location Exemptions in all distribution centers with emphasis on sending and receiving rolls from the plant to which he/she is assigned. Requirements

Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
Must submit to annual MVR.
Must have had satisfactory driving record for the past three (3) years.
Must adhere to normal work schedule, starting and stopping times and company attendance/tardiness policy.
Must be able to work necessary overtime.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Must be able to read and write in English to ensure accuracy on all paperwork.
Submit truck for repairs if needed.
Must have high school diploma or GED.
Must successfully complete DOT physical each year.
Must be capable of climbing into truck, unlocking and opening doors, carry small rolls of carpet (up to 50 lbs).
Must have adequate depth perception and pass vision test.
Must be able to drive truck up to 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

Drive a box-style truck to pick up carpet rolls/cuts to be transported to other locations.
Transport carpet rolls/cuts to the proper locations.
Possible travel to sample facilities and deliver of carpet to Dalton area freight terminals.
Keep truck fueled and notify maintenance of any mechanical problems.
Perform the duties of a LTO and LTO II.
