About The Position

Harmon, Inc. is seeking a full-time Shop Worker to join their team. This role involves performing general labor in a shop environment, including glass handling, metal fabrication, assembly, glazing, and packaging. The position offers training in reading shop drawings and blueprints, machine operation, and the use of manual and hand tools. Employees are expected to adhere to standard operating procedures, meet daily productivity goals, participate in 5S initiatives, and apply continuous improvement principles. Certified employees may operate a forklift. Safety is paramount, with requirements to follow safety procedures, wear provided PPE, and participate in safety suggestion programs. The work environment involves exposure to constant or intermittent sound, vibration from power tools, and occasional exposure to chemicals, dust, and fumes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Manufacturing and Curtain Wall industry experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute to a safe & enjoyable work environment
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team
  • Must be able to walk, bend, twist, squat and climb on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift between 30 and 60 pounds

Responsibilities
