About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Shop Support Specialist to assess and care for field vehicles using the company’s proprietary technology. The role supports maintenance of U-Haul’s truck and trailer fleet and may involve brake and tire work, including securing trucks on lifts and ramps, performing tire maintenance, and mounting, dismounting, and balancing tires. The position may occasionally require road-testing vehicles and working in a production line. Team members use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist and are expected to assist in additional areas as needed under their supervisor’s direction. U-Haul provides tools for the job, on-the-job learning from experienced team members, and opportunities to grow through a Technician Training Program that includes Ford, GMC, and U-Haul training. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Basic mechanical aptitude.
Driver’s license.
Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
Basic computer skills.
Regular attendance.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of repair experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
