This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations, while wearing proper personal protective equipment. The technician will attend and successfully complete required training classes, maintaining a high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry. A necessary set of tools is required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications. The technician will diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. Work is to be performed in a neat and orderly fashion, with a constant focus on improving methods, work areas, and safety standards. Components will be inspected to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs. Required documentation will be completed utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment and account for repair times. Job expenses will be monitored against repair estimates, and the supervisor will be informed of any cost overruns prior to job completion. The technician should approach work positively and maintain conduct supportive of the team, contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Training and/or mentoring of others in the department may also be required. Other duties as assigned.
