This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations, and wearing proper personal protective equipment. The technician will attend and successfully complete required training classes, maintain a necessary set of tools for job performance, and diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer's specifications. Responsibilities include diagnosing and performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The role requires working in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve methods of work, work area, and safety standards. The technician will inspect components to ensure maximum parts are reused to control repair costs, complete required documentation using appropriate software to document repairs and account for repair times, and monitor job expenses versus repair estimates, informing the supervisor of any cost overruns prior to job completion. The position also involves approaching work in a positive manner, maintaining conduct supportive of the team, training and/or mentoring others, and performing other duties as assigned.
