The Crane Shop Service Technician performs inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of diesel-powered heavy equipment and/or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines. Works independently or as a member of a team to provide basic mechanical services that satisfies customer needs and achieves departmental goals. This is a mid-level position, generally requiring more than seven years of experience and/or demonstrated job-relevant knowledge/skills. A Level IV Technician possesses broad knowledge of the field’s standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. They rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks. This role is self-starting, requires minimal supervision, and often involves being a team member on a large project. The incumbent is expected to model HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes daily, demonstrating alignment with the company's vision, values, and mission, and participating in ongoing self-development.
