About The Position

This role involves operating CNC, NC, lathes, and semi-automatic machinery. The operator will study blueprints and layouts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements for finished workpieces. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges is essential. The position requires verifying completed work against specifications and working with minimal supervision. Additionally, the operator may provide on-the-job training to new employees and must adhere to all company safety and health policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Ability to read tape measure accurately.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC, NC, lathes and semi automatic machinery.
• Study blueprints, layouts, sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operation, and setup requirements.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Verify completed work with the tolerance limits stated in the specifications.
• Work with minimum supervision.
• Provide on the job training to new employees as needed.
• Follow all safety and health policies and procedures issued by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
