About The Position

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, the employee performs a full range of maintenance, repair, and service activities on heavy equipment. Troubleshoots malfunctions in the equipment and repairs them. We specialize in light and heavy industrial site work development, large commercial and retail site work development, highway, street and road construction, landfill construction, airport and runway construction, mining, mineral extraction, and mine reclamation. We also specialize in moving large volumes of dirt and rock safely and economically, particularly blasting and rock excavation. This employment position may be considered a Safety Sensitive Position related to the operation of equipment or working in proximity of operating equipment, working over or adjacent to water, working at a height, or a particular assignment regulated by license, credential, or contract which stipulates the position or work as Safety Sensitive.

Requirements

Minimum of five years heavy equipment mechanic experience.
Must have hand tools.
Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.
Must be willing and able to work 50 hours per week minimum.
Must be able and willing to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor including lifting items as heavy as 50 pounds.
Must have the ability and be willing to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
Must have a valid driver's license.
