About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its team. Experience is valued but not required, and paid training is provided on managing a shop, changing oil, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and performing other light maintenance services. Within less than 60 days, the manager will be accountable for the team’s execution of Take 5 standards. Experienced managers may earn $55,000 or more through base salary and bonus opportunities. The role includes early hours and may require working up to 55 hours per week on occasion.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
• Willingness to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Basic computer operating skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior management or other leadership experience is valued but not required; experience in oil change shops, restaurants, retail, or other businesses may be relevant.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
• Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
• Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
• Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
• Understand shop financials to drive results and use the budget wisely.
• Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
• Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service.
