About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. Experience is valued but not required; the company also offers opportunities to join as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training. Paid training covers Take 5’s shop-management standards, oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and other light maintenance services. Within less than 60 days, the manager will be accountable for the team’s execution of those standards. The role combines crew leadership and administrative duties with customer service and hands-on automotive work. Managers support crew members with services such as changing oil and may perform those services themselves. The position may require early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.

Requirements

Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
Be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
Be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
Have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
Be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
Have basic computer operating skills.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
Support crew members with changing oil and performing other auto services.
Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
Provide excellent customer service.
