About The Position

I&S Inc. of NY is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to lead our equipment maintenance and repair operations in Allegany, NY. This is a leadership role for a hands-on professional with strong oil field equipment experience who takes pride in safety, organization, and team performance. The Shop Manager works directly with the President and management team to ensure all equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready to meet project demands safely and efficiently. You will oversee mechanics and fabricators, manage shop operations, and maintain high company standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years hands-on mechanical repair experience (oil field equipment required)
• 5+ years managing equipment repair teams
• Strong leadership and delegation skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Solid technical knowledge of shop repair methods
• Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of all company equipment
• Lead and manage mechanics and fabricators
• Coordinate upcoming equipment needs with Operations
• Order parts and maintain required inventory levels
• Deploy personnel for onsite equipment repairs
• Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and regulatory compliance
• Review and approve shop expenses
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order processes
• Perform repairs as needed
