About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead one of our locations. We are a well-established company with over 35 years of experience, known for our efficient oil change process that allows customers to remain in their vehicles. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders promoted internally. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, whether they have prior experience in the automotive industry or transferable skills from retail, restaurant, or other service-oriented businesses. We provide comprehensive paid training for all new managers.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position safely under cars.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
  • Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
  • Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
  • Basic computer operating skills.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members.
  • Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll.
  • Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
  • Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory.
  • Understanding shop financials to drive results and manage the budget.
  • Conducting quarterly employee evaluations.
  • Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil, replacing wiper blades/air filters, and filling tires.
  • Performing auto services including draining motor oil and changing oil filters.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
