About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead one of our locations. We are a well-established company with over 35 years of experience, known for our efficient oil change process and friendly service, allowing customers to remain in their vehicles. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders promoted internally. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, whether they have prior experience in management or are looking to transition into a leadership role with our comprehensive training program.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Must have basic computer operating skills.

- Experience is valued but not required.
- Opportunities to join the team as an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training are available for those without prior experience.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members.
- Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll.
- Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory.
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and manage the budget.
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations.
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
- Performing oil changes, including draining motor oil and changing oil filters.
- Performing other light auto maintenance services.
- Providing excellent customer service.
